Our Resource Centre contains approximately 5,000
documents on woman abuse. Collection strengths include:
- community-based educational materials that have been produced on wife assault/woman abuse
- multilingual materials
- materials produced by and for immigrant and refugee women
- materials on health issues related to violence, and for the health care sector
- curriculum on woman abuse for high schools, elementary schools, and adult education
- materials on violence in teen dating relationships
- files on the work of various violence-related organizations
- violence in lesbian and gay relationships
- materials produced by and for Native communities
- materials produced by and for women with disabilities
Do you provide database searches, reference or document delivery services?
We provide database searches (by subject, language, author, etc.) of materials available in our Resource Centre upon
request. We provide reference service via telephone (Monday-Friday, 10 am-5 pm) and in person (by appointment). Due to copyright restrictions, we do not provide document delivery services.
When is the Resource Centre open?
Resource Centre access is provided by appointment. Within this, hours of service are Monday to Friday, 10 am - 5 pm.
Is there a fee for service?
Database searches and photocopies cost $0.10/page. There is no fee to use materials, however, we strongly encourage donations from Resource Centre users in order to support ongoing collection and maintenance of
materials.
